He didn't waste time with the details, he focused on the experiences he would have, the relationships he would build, and the marrow he would suck out of life. Jack Kerouac's quote from his novel On the Road suite's Sergio's energy: "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars." The accident that took his life followed an evening with friends. All that knew Maya can say that he was deeply loved and that he fully extracted everything he could from his time on this planet.
